Access username of manually triggered job

Is it possible to access the username of the person who manually triggered a job? I checked here and it does not appear to be listed as input to a resource.

We have to gate our deploys to production and it would be nice to push the username on our alerts when something is deployed.

I can’t think of a way to do this in Concourse. You are correct, this info is not passed into a resource or task.

In general, if I want to ensure certain people don’t trigger some jobs, I would put those jobs in another pipeline on another team. This other team would only contain the users I want to be able to trigger the job. I realize this probably doesn’t work for your use-case; it’s the only Concourse-native solution I can think of. Hope you figure it out
